Over the past two years, through the distribution of my own shows, I’ve had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of several people involved with podcasting in various forms. I truly consider myself lucky to have met some amazing and talented people.
However, I’ve come to realize slowly, over the last six months, that my heart just isn’t into podcasting anymore. Other interests (mainly a renewed one in photography) and increased demands of my time (family, employment) have taken precedent in my life, and for that podcasting has been pushed aside. The podcast mic literally sits on the floor collecting dust. I’ve also come to realize that I lack the personality inclinations and propensity for self-promotion that have come to be nearly mandatory in order to have any measurable level of success in a podcasting (or social media) world filled with tens of thousands of items by thousands of producers.
It is for these reasons I have decided to cease production on the Suffering From Sanity and Saturday Sky podcasts effective immediately.
For those who downloaded at least one episode of a podcast from me, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your time and for your ears. Although I am shuttering my shows, I do not consider the time invested a waste. I learned quite a bit while podcasting, both positive and negative, and will carry that with me forward into my next ventures.
